Three of the best autumn fashion trends, says Emily (and the V by Very fashion show)

Autumn is hands-down the best season for feeling cosy and smug - I mean, snug. Wrapped up in our jumpers, lighting the fire at home, and having all the coffee, because cold, dark mornings are hard. Thanks to Littlewoods' V by Very A/W fashion show I'm welcoming autumn with open arms - and wallet. I'm ready to wrap up. Are you with me? If so, crack out the thick, black tights, scarves and  boots, ladies, here are the three trends not going anywhere this season.

ONE Ruffles and frills: the frill is not gone. You have to have noticed that there’s been an explosion of tops, shirts and dresses with ruffles on them and, for those who have invested in the trend, fear not! It’s going nowhere. This particular detail was alive and well at Littlewoods’ V by Very fashion show and to those who love a good, statement frill, Littlewoods have you covered. Feast your eyes on that leather-look red dress.

TWO Embroidery: I love the embroidery trend. It’s just so, so pretty and makes your bog-standard items of clothing way more interesting. Just look at how embroidery elevates that mini skirt above.

THREE Mini skirts: this one may incite a little fear in some. But teamed with thick black tights and ankle boots, the mini skirt can be a really nice option for your autumn wardrobe. It's what I'm wearing in the first photo (Penneys, hun).

What are you excited to wear this autumn?
