The #1 wardrobe update you need for AW16
Tbh I don’t think leopard print ever goes out of style – I consider it a neutral in my wardrobe, much to Mr Fluff’s dismay.
To my mind, it’s a little bit retro, a little bit rock n roll and also just a little bit tongue-in-cheek; you can't take yourself too seriously in leopard print. The pattern and colours are beautiful and the palette of black, brown and gold goes with pretty much every outfit, while flattering every skin-tone.
And yet: I don’t actually own a leopard print coat. This is because invariably, the faux-fur variety has made me look like a yeti, while the more streamlined versions have thus far been out of my price-range.
But for next season, it seems like the fashion gods are on my side because the big message I’ve been getting from the AW16 press days is this: Imma NEED a leopard print coat – and you probably are, too. The highstreet will be offering up affordable options aplenty; these are just three great versions that I’ve spotted so far (and I've requested prices/drop dates; will update when I have 'em!):
1. Top pic: River Island
2. Bottom pic: Penneys/Primark (left) - €35, in stores October 23rd; see what else I loved from their new collections.
3. Bottom pic: New Look (right) - €64.99, in stores mid September
Whaddya think, love a bit of leopard or is it all a bit too Bet Lynch for your tastes?
