L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation Review; Before and After Pics

L’Oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion Foundation Review

Cushion cosmetic compacts are the next big Asian beauty craze to take off on our shores. Lancome released their foundation version last year and I’ve been waiting for the trickle-down effect every since: cue excited shrieking when the L’Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation landed on my desk, in shades 1 and 4 (of the 7 available; I use #4).

In a nutshell, if you like BB and CC creams then I think you’ll like this too. It offers similar benefits: quick and easy application, a radiant, natural finish and decent sun protection, to boot; it’s enriched with SPF 25.

Please ignore my caterpillar brows, I'm getting them sorted out soon!
The texture is much lighter and more fluid than a BB or CC cream, though, and there’s something quite fun and appealing about the delivery mechanism (though germophobes might squirm at the product-soaked sponge). You just press the powder puff into the cushion, and tap it on to your face. Want more coverage? Tap again – it’s buildable, but just to medium coverage. It looks very natural and feels completely weightless – I forgot I was wearing makeup.

The verdict? I’m liking this a lot. It lives in my handbag now and I find the plastic packaging and mirror nice and handy to carry about for touch-ups. I;m wearing one light layer in these photos and you can see that it covers up redness in my cheeks, but blemishes and freckles still show through. It's a nice luminous finish, too, without being dewy or shiny. My one concern is it might run out quickly and, at €21.99, it’s not the cheapest offering on the market. Have you tried this, or do you fancy giving it a whirl?
