Lash Extensions From Elysian Brows & Beauty: Amazeballs
If you need an instant confidence boost, nothing works as well (imho) as a set of semi-permanent lash extensions. In under an hour you are transformed into somebody younger and fresher looking with bigger, wider and more defined windows to the soul. You seem suddenly more put together and made-up, even when entirely bare-faced. It really is a kind of grooming magic.
I’ve had lash extensions on four separate occasions and the set I’m currently sporting are my favourites yet. I have been complimented several times daily since they went on – and my optician told me they looked the best she’d ever seen under her ultra-magnifying lense.
They came courtesy of Indra at Elysian Brows & Beauty, who I have been recommending far and wide. I love this South William salon and these days it’s better than ever – the owner, Libby Ryan, has expanded both the premises and the menu, to offer a wider spectrum of treatments under one roof.
In addition to the eight brow-stations, the salon now boasts a nail bar, pedicure room, tanning suite and gorgeous, light-filled treatment room, where you can enjoy facials using products from Yon-ka, Murad and Dermalogica. It’s a lovely space and I can imagine spending lots of time here - I’ve already booked in for my lash refills, and might get my brows seen to while I’m there.
On a final note: extensions have their drawbacks, too. They’re not cheap*, eye makeup removal is a faff and you can’t wear mascara. But I reckon they’re worth every penny – especially as the party season approaches and there are more things to be done and more people to be seen.
*Lash Extensions at Elysian Brows & Beauty are €120 and refills are €55. Read about my previous experiences with lash extensions here and here. Find Elysian brows at 36-37 South William Street, Dublin or check out the website for more.
