Four Summery Beauty Reasons to Stop By Your Bobbi Brown Counter

Summer Beauty from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

If you’re a makeup lover and you haven’t swung by your local Bobbi Brown counter in a while, may I suggest that you schedule a trip? There’s a whole lot of beauty booty waiting for you to give your summer makeup look – and your general mood – a bit of a lift – starting with that most essential piece of kit: the perfect lipstick.

New shades have been added to Bobbi’s Creamy Lip Colour, Sheer Lip Colour and Creamy Matte Lip Colour lines and the one I’ve fallen for, in a completely-head-over-heels kinda way, is the Creamy Matte in the shade Heart. (As in ‘be still my beating'…)

Summer Beauty from Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

Never has a lipstick been so brilliantly named: this is indeed creamy and moisturising, long-lasting but comfortable, and a lovely velvety modern matte. It’s €26 and other new shades include the enticing sounding Pink Nude, Watermelon, Mandarin, Scarlet and Berry Noir.

Also on counter are two new absolute essentials for me, both from the Long-Wear Collection: the Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow pencil, €39, and Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick, €30. I already have a shadow stick in Bronze and it’s one of my favourite things ever; it gives smooth, rich, intense pigment in a ridiculously easy-to-use and twist-up stick.

Bobbi Brown Goldstone Shadow Stick Swatches

The shade Goldstone  - a shimmering antique taupey gold – is every bit as brilliant and once it’s on and blended out, it will not budge till you wash it off.  This works just as well for a long day in the office as it does for a day at the beach and if you don’t have one of these genius crayons in your kit, you’re seriously missing out.  Taupe and Rich Caviar are the next two on my hit-list.

Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow pencil Espresso

And the brow crayon? One of the best I’ve used – and I am so, so picky about my brow products. The Kevyn Aucoin pencil was my go-to when things were a bit sparser and needed more defining; this baby is thicker – more like the Tom Ford pencil, but a good bit less expensive – and perfect for when there’s a bit more fullness in my brows.  Plus, it comes in eight realistic shades; I'm wearing Espresso in these photos. And – sing hallelujah - there’s a spoolie!

Bobbi Brown Face & Body Bronzing Duo

The last bit I’ve been loving on is limited edition, so you’ll want to get a wriggle on. The Face & Body Bronzing Duo, €44, is everything your cheeks will need for a sun-kissed glow. Lightweight, silky and blendable, the idea here is that you can layer up and custom-build the perfect bronze for you. It comes in several different colourways and the one I have is Antigua/ Golden Light.
So tell me, what will you be checking out on counter?
