I’ve been braver since I found this red lipstick but with pink, I’m much more in my comfort zone. I’ve always loved this fun and feminine shade and it’s been great to see so many pink beauty looks on the catwalks this year. It’s a colour that can be worn pretty much anywhere - lips, cheeks or eyes – so I’ve rounded up a few of my favourites to share with you all today.
BLUSH: We all have that go-to blush that we turn to when we need to look more alive. My all-time favourite is Bobbi Brown’s Pink Pastel: you can’t beat Bobbi for blushes, and this one is just perfect for my colouring, It’s a beautiful, silky-sheer powder that instantly gives my cheeks a fresh, natural glow.
On the budget end, I’ve also been loving Rose Amber from Bourjois, a baked blusher that’s just beautiful to use. It’s ultra-fine, light and easy to apply because it blends out really well. It’s a coral pink which would suit all skintones; it’s pictured here with a couple of eyeshadows from the brand that I like to team with it.
LIPS: I have a ridiculous amount of pink lipsticks and lip glosses and it gave me major heartache to narrow them down to my faves. These three have one thing in common: they’re off the richter scale in terms of PINK. People will definitely see you coming when you wear them.

Maybelline Color Elixir 110 in Hibiscus Heaven is just stunning. It is so pigmented for a gloss and feels lovely and moisturising. The contouring brush is the best ever invention; you can apply the gloss to every nook and cranny of your lips, which gives the illusion of a lovely plump pout.
Now, who doesn’t have a MAC lipstick in their makeup bag? If your hand is up, get to a counter fast, and check out my pick of the bunch: MAC Mineralize Rich Lipstick in Pink Vibrations. As I have really dry lips, this formula is perfection. It’s highly moisturising and lightweight, and the colour is exceptionally vibrant as the name suggests.
Finally I couldn’t write a post like this without mentioning the star of the show: Chanel! This Chanel glossimer in Daydream 174 has teensy metallic fuchsia sparkles that are just WOW. I love that it’s so wearable on its own, adding a nice amount of colour and a touch of glitter and glam without being OTT. After all, it is Chanel.
HAIRCARE: My new favourite brush is the Lee Stafford Big Fat Smoother Brush, and it just happens to be pink. This brush is unusual in that the angled bristles combine natural horse hair and nylon pins, to give you the smoothest, sleekest hair of your life, The ceramic barrel gives added shine. BOOM: salon-perfect hair.
And the two saviours that assist me in achieving that look also just so happen to come in pretty pink bottles. Schwarzkopf OSIS+ Glamination Smooth Polish Elixir is fab; I use it before blow-drying my hair to fight the frizz without looking like a grease ball. And I use Schwarzkopf OSIS+ Glamination Light Glossy Hold spray with my Velcro rollers, for a lovely natural hold and a bit of shine. You don’t get that stiff feeling you can get with other hairsprays, so it’s a winner in my book.
