MAC Wash & Dry Collection Lands Today!

MAC Wash & Dry Makeup Collection

You might have spotted a few sneaky pics on my Instagram recently (g’wan and give us a follow, don’t mind me, I’ll hang on till you’re back) of some upcoming MAC collections.

With today’s launch of the Wash & Dry collection, we can at least count on one thing to warm up the Irish summer. It’s chock full of bright and cheery shades, bronzey bits and fun splashes of colour and is exclusive to Brown Thomas, BT2 and online.

Gloss fans and lovers of a full-coverage lip will both be pleased.  Four shades of Lipglass, €20.50, have just hit counters along with four lippies, €21.50: two new (Steam Heat, pictured below right) and the light peach Tumble Dry, and two repromotes, Morange (below left) and Creme d’Nude.

I’ve been pining for Morange for quite a while, so plan on snapping it up in its snazzy new (limited) packaging, quick smart. The eyeshadow palettes, €33, are also gorgeous – I shared some swatches on my Facebook page if you want to take a look.

But the highlighters and bronzers are the stars of the show, with their enchanting, embossed ways. The Studio Sculpt Powder in Golden Rinse, €33, is a great pick for fair to medium skintones and gives a natural looking, golden glow to the skin. It's the only piece of the collection that I own (so far) and use, and I'm liking it a lot.

MAC Wash Dry High Light Freshen Up Powder

Freshen Up High Light powder, also €33, comes with three pretty shades that will perk up the complexion and I think this will also be quite subtle, once you wipe off the shimmery overspray.

And let’s just take a moment for that packaging: it’s a sight for sore eyes, with its metallic casing and shades of tropical turquoise, banana and coral. So tell me, are we tempted?
