Clarins Aquatic Treasures Beauty Collection for Summer 2015

Face Swatches Clarins Aquatic Treasures Beauty Makeup Collection for Summer 2015

Mermaid shades are big news this summer and Clarins are surfing the aquatic wave with their latest beauty collection. Aquatic Treasures is the name and effortless, beachy makeup is the game, with three iridescent single shadows, two new shades of bronzing primer, some gorgeously green waterproof mascara and eyeliner, and an absolute stunner of a bronzing palette … all on counter now.

Clarins Aquatic Treasures Beauty Collection for Summer 2015

The powder bronzer is the star of the show and Clarins has successfully carved out a niche in this category over their past few collections. With beautiful, wearable shades in silky fine textures, a bunch of skin friendly ingredients and impeccable packaging to boot, if you need a new bronzer they’re the first brand I’d point you towards.

With a mixture of four matte (but not flat) shades, the latest incarnation is perfect for customising your colour, works well for bronzing or sculpting (or both), and has an interesting, antioxidant-rich formula, which promises to protect summer skin and keep it hydrated.

I’m wearing it here across my temples and cheeks, along with the Truly Waterproof mascara and waterproof eye pencil, both in a limited-edition shade of Aquatic Green. The liner is an incredibly pretty colour that is surprisingly versatile; here I’m wearing it with bare eyelids (and it didn’t smudge; though if you’ve oily lids, you’ll need a primer or a base) and a glossy lip, and Karen has shown us what it looks like with a smoky eye (basically, amazing). There’s a smudger at one side so you can wear it smudged out all around the eye with the matching mascara, which is nice and deep so it gives good definition, with a fabulous flash of colour as it catches the light.

So what do you think? Do you love it? Because if you do…I’ve got a surprise coming up on my Facebook page that you’re not gonna want to miss. And if you can’t wait, head to your nearest Clarins counter to check it all out now.
