My cream shadow game is strong. For a long time I was all about the pencils or cream shadow sticks, but lately, these three have got me covered in any given situation.
The Clarins Ombre Matte shadows surprised me in that they are less creamy and more powdery than I had thought. Billed as cream-to-powder these aren’t, however, chalky in the slightest and come in some really lovely neutral shades which you can see swatched here.
This one, Nude Pink, is perfect for pairing with just a slick of lipgloss and mascara like I am here – it works to brighten and even out the colour of my lids – and it also works nicely as an everyday base in lieu of primer. (These were limited edition so while they may not available at your local Clarins counter, you can still find them here.)
Givechy’s Ombre Couture in Taupe Velours was an impulse airport buy on my way home from this awesome trip to London – and I regret nothing! It’s basically the most perfect grey brown colour that lasts well and is ridiculously easy to apply and blend – making it my go-to, three second eye look when I’m getting ready for work.
Finally, Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Gel Sparkle pots are a shadow/liner hybrid that promise both definition and drama. This one, Midnight Forest, is currently my favourite way to do evening colour; it’s a rich, multi-dimensional shade that is long-lasting and lovely.
Have you given any of these beauties a bash?
