A Blog Post About Emma, Anita and Two Karens (and NARS Audacious Lipstick, Again)

NARS Audacious Lipstick Anita

This here blog post is a case of monkey see, monkey do. No sooner did I see Karen rocking the NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anita than I wanted in on that creamy, full coverage my-lips-but- better action, too. And yes, this photo is slightly odd, but it's the only one I took so I'm deducing that, shockingly, trying to do blog stuff after a couple of glasses of bubbly might not be the absolute best idea of all time ever.

Described as an antique rose, Anita is a warm-toned pinky-nude beauty of a shade that makes me feel classy -  even when I’m wearing pyjamas and drinking beer on the couch.  I’m besotted with Geraldine (which I reviewed here) and, while Anita is a more subdued, sophisticated kinda gal, she’s every bit as luxurious and lovely to hang out with. We’re still talking rich and creamy one-stroke coverage with a satiny finish that’s comfortable to wear – even in this weather, when my lips have started to dessicate.

I think she looks very different on me than she does on Karen, which is only to be expected as we have very different colouring (I have warm undertones, a light-to-medium skintone and cool leaning lips with warm hair and eyes, just fyi), and also, Karen doesn't look ridiculous in her photos, but I’m still very happy with the result. Which is just as well, as these fancypants lipsticks have a fancypants price to go with them (€30), so this here monkey’s been left with peanuts for the rest of the month…

For comparison swatches with the other nude shades in the range, go check out (another) Karen’s excellent post. Have you splurged on any of the colours from this 30-strong range (see them here)?
