One of the perils of being a beauty blogger (admittedly, there aren't all that many) is that loved ones are loathe to gift the object of our obsession; it can seem like we already own every single lipstick and eyeshadow in creation and/or no-body wants to encourage those kindsa crazy hoarding ways.
Thankfully my beloveds (possibly armed with this insider information) threw caution to the wind and this Christmas morning I was positively tipsy on new-beauty-satiation (and, ok, a raspberry bellini or three).
Unwrapping a massive 300 ml can of Oribe Dry Texturising Spray gave me all of the feels. We're talking joy, fear, excitement, trepidation, worry and jubilation. To be honest, I'm still reeling: it gives me the hair of my life - but can anyone ever justify this kind of money for this type of product? Give me just a little more time and I'll let you know.
I'd been jonesing for the NARS Dual Intensity shadow in Himalia since I saw it on Karen and my darling sister V made my dreams come true. She's also responsible for my brows being the proper colour again with my HG brow pencil by Kevyn Aucoin in dark brunette - there's an ashiness to the tone which, along with the super fine lead, means a much more natural look.
Perfect skin in under a minute is the promise made by Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch primer, a product I've been hankering for but couldn't justify till I've made a significant dent in my primer pile. So this adorable mini pot is the first thing to jump out at me from the fan-feckin-tastic bumper box of Clarins goodies from my bestie Jo. I do love me some fancy French skincare.
Finally, the plummy neutral tones of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure have graced my cheeks since I ripped off the shiny paper; a gift from Mr Fluff, this fast rendered all the other blushes in my holiday beauty bag redundant thanks to its wearable colour and radiant, natural glow.
And that's the last festive themed post you'll see round these parts for many a month - I know, I know, Christmas is so last year...
