As of today we can get our paws on Chanel's Spring 2015 beauty drop, Collection Reverie Parisienne. The standout piece of an all-round swoon-worthy collection, the Jardin de Chanel Blush in Camelia Rose, €43, is really very special.
Inspired by Parisian gardens in spring, the camellia motif and moulding means it’s almost too lovely to wear – although that would be a pity, because the product itself is a stunner, blending two finely milled shades of pink for a pretty, radiant glow. This is one that's perfectly suited for paler Celtic skintones; it’s hard to be too heavy handed with this limited edition lovely (which is joined on counter by a regular Joues Contraste blush, €38, in shade 190 Angélique).
The new formulation of Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow quads is so good that it made my list of the best beauty bits of 2014. Two shade varieties are coming our way this spring, the limited coral-toned Tissé Fantaisie and cooler toned, rosewood hues of the permanent addition, Tissé Paris, which I was lucky enough to be sent by the brand – both are €50. Smooth, creamy and of medium pigmentation, I'm in love with these shadows and am wearing the grey on my lids in these photos, layered over the ivory with a touch of the pinks in the crease.
Flattering plummy pinks and corals are the name of the game for lips and, whether you prefer sheeny or matte, Chanel has got you covered.
I love the Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick formula; Chanel’s take on matte lips is soft, pretty and wearable, while still making a statement; that's La Romanesque, €32.50, below which is a muted, plummy pink (Chanel are calling it magenta).
In the photos here I'm wearing Insaisissable, one of two new shades of Rouge Allure (Badine is the other and it's limited, they're both €32 ) with the shadows from the Tissé Paris quad and the Camellia Rose blush. Coral with grey is such a lovely springtime combination - fresh, but with a bit of a retro vibe - and this lipstick feels lovely and comfortable on the lips.
Rouge Coco Shine in Desinvolte, (a peachy pink) and Ētourdie (a shimmering raspberry) offer up a creamy, balm-like and lip-softening alternative; these are €31 a pop. Two glosses, Fleur D’Eau and Crazy Fuchsia, and two lip pencils, Rose Délicat and Capucine, round out the collection, which lands on counter this very day – making it the perfect post-payday treat. Will you be picking up a piece?
