So many of us travel around this time of year, whether we’re heading home to spend Christmas with our families or just squeezing in a last minute break. Mr Fluff and I will be heading back to Scotland and that means we’ll be taking full advantage of the savings offered at The Loop - they offer a brilliant range of gifts at Cork or Dublin airport, with guaranteed discounts of at least 20% on fragrance and 15% on skincare, compared to downtown prices.
I like to give myself plenty of time in the airport to browse the selection, but if that all sounds too nerve-wrackingly last minute for you: don’t fret! You can pick out your gifts ahead of time on theloop.ie, place your order 48 hours before you travel and then collect it when you get to the airport. Handy, eh?
I was at Dublin airport recently for some brand-ambassador-y business where I took note of some of the bargains to be had. There’s a great range of men’s gift sets, with fragrance plus additional body products which you’re essentially getting thrown in for free; I spotted these ones from Issey Miyake for €61/€62.
It’s brilliant to see so many awesome Irish brands at The Loop. I’m a big fan of Max Benjamin; their candles and room diffusers make amazing gifts (these ones are €23.95). The Handmade Soap Company is another fab homegrown beauty brand which I’ve written about here; these candles, €14, are a recent addition to the range.
Travel exclusives are another great thing about airport shopping; Lancôme always have a great selection and this year is no different. I love this Travel Chic kit, €56.30, which comes with a sparkly evening clutch.
And if you’re buying for folk at home? Make sure you check out the Shop and Collect service; you can buy your gifts in the airport or online, and collect them on your return to Cork or Dublin airport. You’ll get a wee reminder text on landing, too.
I’m tempted to put by a bottle of something sparkly to cheer us up in January – there’s a 20% saving on alcohol, so this boxed Moet Rose Imperial is €40.95, with the Moet Imperial coming in at €39.95.
Will you be travelling this Christmas, and are you a fan of some cheeky airport shopping?
