More Bourjois Brilliance for Christmas 2014

Bourjois are on top of their game with their recent releases, nicely illustrating that high-street can, sometimes, give high-end a run for its money. Their Christmas look is all about sophisticated shimmer on the eyes worn with a matte lip, which is gorgeous and timeless as you can see from these shots of the launch.

Bourjois Christmas Beauty 2014

The model is wearing shades from Upside Brown, one of eight colour ways in the brand's Smoky Stories eyeshadow palettes, which are each more wearable than the last. They come in a gorgeous array of taupes, minks, chocolate browns, khakis and greys, and feature three eyeshadows and one glitter topcoat. If you're wondering where you've come across that concept before, it's at the very high-end beauty houses of Tom Ford and Charlotte Tilbury.

So do these stack up? Hellz yes, and you have got to get yourself in on this action. The shades are soft and smooth, blend beautifully, work perfectly together and are just €10.49. I KNOW.

You can tap the glitter on with your finger for a soft, subtle, sparkly veil of colour over the other shadows, or apply it to the inner corner of your eyes as a highlight. It's gorgeous stuff.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Happy Nude Year

We've also been treated to another shade of the Rouge Edition Velvet liquid lipsticks in Happy Nude Year; do you love these yet? I am seriously obsessed with their staying power and the pretty soft, matte finish they provide. The model is wearing Hot Pepper, a bright, warm red that I never want to be without. These are €7.99.

Everyone should own these and, as we head into the season of giving (and getting), let's try and keep that in mind; any woman who loves her beauty will appreciate any of this little lot:
