Bulgari Man in Black Fragrance: Mr Fluff Recommends

Bulgari Man in Black Fragrance Review

Looking for a new fragrance for the man in your life? Mr Fluff is back with another recommendation...

Bulgari’s new fragrance, Man in Black, was launched to coincide with the brand reaching the grand old age of 130 years.  In all that time I’ve never had a Bulgari scent so, as a man who sometimes wears black, I was pretty excited to give this one a go.

The first thing that strikes you is the packaging.  Now I know this shouldn’t overly impress me, but when you get your hands on the distinctive black stone and rose gold bottle, you’ll feel pretty smug about owning such a fancy, high quality product.

The fragrance itself is fairly bold and masculine so I doubt it will be robbed by the light fingered Mrs Fluff (He obviously hasn't read this – Emma), but I find, as we move into autumn/winter, it’s not overpowering and can be worn for both day or night.

The notes, I detected - primarily rum and leather, sweetness and spice - are sophisticated but modern and, while you probably won’t want to splash some on for the gym, you should feel comfortable in the office or on an evening date.

So I’m pleased to report that Bulgari Man in Black is now a firm favourite and, for those concerned about their wardrobe, please don’t be: it also pairs well with colours other than black. I'm wearing navy in the picture above. So now I’ve cleared that up go and get your hands on that bottle, €64 for 60ml or €87 for 100.
