L'Oréal Paris Collection Privée Les Nudes Review and Swatches: Cheryl (Barely Greige) and Frieda (Barely Parma)

L'Oréal Paris Collection Privée Les Nudes Review and Swatches

In the 90s I loved nothing more than a good ol' concealer-nude lip - usually outlined with a much darker shade of liner. Lookit, we were all at it, ok?! In recent years I've gravitated more towards brighter lip colours and have actually struggled to find a nude that flatters my skintone.

L'Oréal Paris Collection Privée Les Nudes Frieda Hint of Parma

Enter L'Oréal Paris with a solution for this all too common problem - the Collection Privée Les Nudes launched towards the end of last year, with a promise to help every woman find their perfect nude.

The six strong shade range was designed with L'Oreal's spokesmodels - from Freida Pinto to Julianne Moore, Chery Cole, Liya Kebede, Eva Longoria and Doutzen Kroes -  who all have different colourings, ethnicities and skintones.

L'Oréal Paris Collection Privée Les Nudes Review and Swatches:

Ranging from peach to mauve to rosy pink and packaged up in a matte black, gold- accented rubberised case, these lippies are creamy, comfortable to wear and feel way more luxe than their €11.99 pricetag.

L'Oréal Paris Collection Privée Les Nudes Cheryl Barely Greige

This is a lovely, elegant launch; I've been enjoying these two in particular to offset this season's smokey eyes and would encourage you to check 'em out, whether you're a nude newbie or a longtime fan.

Have you tried 'em, or are you tempted?

Gorgeous colours - definitely on the pinky side of nude.

Niiice! This is really useful, especially for me. My skin is so white and weird sometimes, nude lips look ridiculous on it.

Love a nude lip, find it hard to get right though. I find my pale skin can end up just looking washed out. Will be giving Julianne Moore's version a trial me-thinks!

Do these have the same crayon smell that other L'Oreal lipsticks have? I love L'Oreal lipsticks for their colors and longevity but just can't wear them because I hate the smell! Maybe I'm just super sensitive to smells but if a lipstick doesn't smell good, there's no way it's going on my lips!

Hi Mary, they do have that traditional 'lipstick' scent which personally I quite like but, scent is so subjective! xo

I recently picked up the Julliane's shade and it is the perfect natural shade for me, I just love it.

I remember swatting this and not liking them on my hand but Frieda looks really nice on you! I may have to return and try them out again!

I'm tempted now. Relatively new to lipsticks/lip glosses and I picked up what looked like a perfect nude from the Rimmel Moisture renew range and it's awful now, a dusky pink that doesn't suit at all. Will be checking these out :)
