Summer Holiday Dressing: Wish List

We’re in the middle of the Autumn Winter preview season and new season collections are already trickling into store – but I for one am still hung up on summer fashion.

I have my holiday in mind, y’see, a week in Italy is on the horizon and so is a spot of shopping.  As himself said to me, all our holiday photos look like the one trip, thanks to the same parade of battered old sundresses and shorts. Here's what I'm currently coveting...

Summer Holiday Dressing

ONE: I’m in love with the acid bright shade of this this strappy, summery Topshop number. The ultra modern colour combined with the vintage style and lace inserts makes me super happy, and I think it will look great with a tan.

TWO: My beloved Marc by Marc Jacobs bag is a beauty, but it’s black – so for the sunshine, I’m lusting after this cream Croc textured leather number instead. It’s out of my price range – but I did find it for 40% off here…

THREE: There is something so cool and effortless about this maxi dress that it makes me feel refreshed and relaxed just looking at it. It’s from Warehouse and if I’m quick I might still find it in the sale.

FOUR: With its pops of neon colour and diamante embellishments, this pretty Cala D'or Embellished Collar from Accessorize will make a statement by day or by night. The best bit? The fabric base means it’s featherlight and won’t heat up in the sun.

FIVE: I have my flat sandals covered (still loving these and these) but I am ever seeking a pair of leg lengthening but comfortable nude wedges. I snapped these babies in Clarks recently and if they’re still there come payday, well I might just take a punt…

SIX: Himself has a holiday hat that has served him well, and actually looks better the more battered it gets. My hats? Not so much. I was tipped off about packable, roll-up sun hats and I’m hunting for a version I like - but I’m also considering a smaller, more structured number from Accessorize that I’ll just wear on the plane. This one is €28.90.
