Essie Sunday Funday Review and Pictures

Essie’s latest collection lands next month and is an incredibly pretty range of six summery shades,  from pale blue to lavender, teal,  fuchsia, lime creme and coral.

With the exception of the lime, the shades are softly sparkling with a silver microshimmer – the effect is delicate and subtle, but really gives the collection added oomph. You know the deliciously hazy sparkle of sunlight on water? Yes, THAT.

Sunday Funday instantly caught my eye – described as a tangerine crush coral, it’s so juicy that it actually makes my mouth water. Look, it’s been a while since breakfast, hmmkay? Now, corals abound this season but this one stands out from the crowd: the colour’s so shiny and saturated that it looks like a gel on the nails, and the shimmer really catches the light.

The formula is pretty near perfect, as well. It went on smoothly and evenly and the new wider brush is just a joy. Here, I gave it two coats and sealed it all down with Sally Hansen’s excellent Insta-Dri anti-chip topcoat (a total gamechanger!). My hands now make me happy, and that’s what nail polish is really all about. Thanks Essie!

I don't normally go for shimmer in nail polish but this is subtle and nice!

Sunday Funday is on my mitts today! I'm not a huge fan of shimmer either but have fallen in love with it in this range.

So much so that I've a coat of Bourjois glitter on top <3

I love either full on glitter or creme polishes, but the subtle shimmer seems quite nice! And I love the colour - Will have to have a look when it comes out! x

This is so pretty, I do love a sparkly nail polish, they just make me happy. Delighted to hear the brush is wider, that's the only thing I don't like about my Essie polishes, the brush is quite thin. Excited to try these out!

I love this color. It is so pretty for the warmer weather. My nails are currently bare but I think I will paint them hot pink tonight.
