Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer in #9: Review, Pictures, Swatches

Hailed as 'the secret to the Armani glow', I was beyond delighted to be given one of the new shades of the brand's now-iconic Fluid Sheers. These lovelies have been scooping up awards and accolades across the globe including InStyle magazine's 'Best Highlighter' for three years on the trot.

That's the Nails Inc Feather Effect polish on my nails!
One look at this bottle here will tell you that they're not all highlighters, of course. Depending on the shade, they can be used in a number of ways - as liquid bronzers, highlighters or blushers - but they all share the same translucent, light-reflecting formula.

Swatches Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer 9

This one, #9, is a bright berry pink which lends itself perfectly for use as a blusher. I've been wearing it over my foundation, blending a little with a brush upwards from the apples of my cheeks.

You can see from these swatches that, while there's definite shimmer and sparkle here, when you sheer out the product this isn't really visible on the skin. In my book, that's a definite plus point. But the shimmer does catch the light in a subtle way, giving a lovely radiant effect, which is flattering and youthful.

The sheer, lightweight texture also makes this incredibly easy to work with and to blend; it gives a really pretty, subtle effect that can easily be built up should you choose. It looks absolutely seamless on the skin - you can't see where it begins or ends, so it's a very natural effect.

What am I less keen on? The price - they're €42.69, so it could be a while before I can invest in another (and a golden shade is definitely on my list). However, you do get plenty of product for your money and only need the tiniest amount, so it will be a long time before the bottle runs out.

Yowza, that is quite dear, but they're lovely! I was playing with a similar liquid blush last week, must go back and find out how much it is.

Hiya doll!! You look super...it does give a gorgeous glow without being too much. I don't think I like the price either, haha. Maybe if one gets some gift certificates and things, it would be ok to splurge ;) I hope you have a gorgeous week xx

Ah god damn the price, I was a definite buyer of this based on your post but the price tag is a little too much! It’s bloody well gorgeous though!

Ooh that's lovely, I've gotten samples of the fluid sheers before but usually the bronzy goldy ones that don't do much for my pale pale pale complexion, would love to try this but not at that price. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a sample.

Very pretty & natural looking, it would last so long too. It's expensive, but if you fell in love with it & would use it often I think it's worth an investment. Hard to find liquid products that look so nice! What's on your nails? x

First of all, love the nails Emma! This product is right up my street! I wore nothing but cream/liquid blush products for years. I just love the finish you get from them. I can imagine this will last you a very long time, it just looks so pretty and glowy on you!
