Les Beiges De Chanel Healthy Glow Sheer Powder Review, Pics, Swatches
Ever since Gabrielle Chanel pioneered the sunkissed look in the 1920s,
women the world over have sought to achieve a radiant, healthy glow. So it
seems entirely fitting that Peter Phillips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup,
has launched the perfect product to help us do just that. Launching this week,
Les Beiges De Chanel is a range of sheer, matte complexion powders, that Chanel have dubbed their most important makeup launch of the year.
So what sets these powders apart from your run-of-the-mill bronzing
powder, then? A quick peek at this gorgeous 20 second clip, featuring Brazilian
supermodel Giselle Bunchen, should set the scene. This launch is all about
natural, healthy and effortless beauty - the powders are a shimmer-free zone,
and subtlety is key.
I've been using, and loving, Shade 30, which is the third in the
seven-strong range and ideal for my light-to-medium skintone. Lightweight and
so finely milled that it feels creamy to the touch, this really lifts and
enhances my complexion and gives me a lovely, natural looking glow. I never use
bronzer, except to contour, but I find myself sweeping this across my face
daily. Because it's sheer, it's pretty much foolproof - there's no fear of depositing too much. I am absolutely hooked.
But it doesn't end there. In keeping with the modern trend for smart
cosmetics, the formula is enriched with active botanicals to offer skincare
benefits, too. Cotton flower and white rose plant cells help protect against
pollution, dehydration and environmental stress factors, while an SPF
of 15 fights sun damage.
Les Beiges De Chanel launches this Friday, 15th March, priced at €48.
Spendy? Oh yeah. But it's also the best bronzing powder I've ever used, so if a
healthy glow is what you're after, I would highly recommend.
I already use 2 different Chanel bronzers, but it's so tempting to add a 3rd one to the collection!!! You've got a great glow going on there girl!! Have a fab Tuesday Hun xoxo http://www.intotheblonde.com/
It looks gorgeous on you!! Not fake like or orange, but gives you a healthy glow without taking away from your natural tone as well. Wonderful product! Fortunately I come with a tan, so I've never needed any of those things, but I do love a little bronzer here and there to pretend I've been away somewhere exotic, even if I was just at the store, haha!! Have a wonderful day doll xox
definitely tempted! i've always been scared of bronzers, producing that oompa loompa look. LOL i love that this is buildable. i want to delve into the Chanel makeup line. looks great! http://www.averysweetblog.com/
Wish I had the money to spend on bronzer! Haha. This looks like some pretty amazing stuff! The way you describe it pretty much sells it. I don't blame you for wearing it every day! I totally would too! -Jessi haircutandgeneralattitude.blogspot.com
Heya! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to no back up. Do you have any solutions to stop hackers?
I am tempted! Looking at your pics I notice that it provides a natural though effective coverage. You see the difference but you don't see the trick! Awesome...
I'm always so terrified using bronzer becaise it just makes me look dirty...maybe I just haven't found the right one (cough..Chanel.. cough) will have to get one of the Chanel girls to try this on me when it's out!
You look like you've been away, it's fab on you emma!
Great review! I've always been a bit petrified of braving bronzer on my pale complexion. Your skin looks amazing Emma. Hope you don't mind me asking which skincare products do you use? I remember reading a previous post of yours on Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish. Is it still your go-to cleanser? Am considering purchasing both Cleanse & Polish and the bronzer :)

Ooh, intrigue! I'm such a sucker for bronzing powders -- even though I have olive-y/medium complexion. Must have a look see at this one :) x
