Chanel Le Vernis Accessoire: Review, Pics, Swatches

The weather was making a mockery of my spring pastels so I was delighted to pull out Accessoire, which is part of Chanel's Printemps Precieux collection for spring. So strong are my associations for the brand that I'm always compelled to photograph Chanel beside pearls - I don't even realise I'm doing it! These photos are obviously no different but let's just look past that for now and concentrate on this really gorgeous oxblood shade.

Chanel Le Vernis Accessoire SS13

Unlike the other two shades in this collection, Accessoire is not your typical spring shade. Beside Fracas, a warm pink, and the pearly nude of Emprise, this looks altogether darker and more edgy. It's similar to my first Chanel nail polish love, Rouge Noir, but there's more brown to Accessoire, and I think the finish is glossier, too.

As for the formula, Temptalia called it 'head-to-toe luxury–fantastic ...with opaque color in two coats', and I woudn't dare to argue. I found this incredibly easy to work with, it was opaque in two coats and it lasted the guts of a week. I'm smitten.

The imperfect application is all me - don't blame the Chanel!

Tell me, because I'm nosy like that: what's on your nails today?

Nail envy right here. Love the colour on you!
I've on Catrice Hey dirty lilah with an accent nail of Catrice Sold out forever. I reversed it on my other hand using using Hey dirty lilah as an accent and the rest with Sold out forever. Because I'm wild and crazy like that (Ha!) x

Hmmm I dont actually like it... It's a bit mucky or something!

I think I'm a bit over the Chanel polishes though to be honest. OPI and Essie are so much better to last and are cheaper.

Am currently sporting OPI Eurso Euro with a Polka.com accent nail after a lovely mani in Mink yesterday! Can't stop looking at my nails!!!

Hahaha, not imperfect at all, quite nice actually! You have to see how imperfect are my nails right now. They were supposed to be with skin tone polish, but after washing my hair two times, they turned pink -_-

This a lovely shade! I think I still prefer Rouge Noir though!

Today I'm sporting navy (Essie No More Film) and white (China Glaze White On White) stripes with a pink heart (OPI Kiss Me On My Tulips) decoration. Very cute!

I really like this colour. Today I just have a simple pale pink-ish Butter London shade, but have two new Zoya colours to try out over the weekend. xx/Madison

You know my unconditioned love for Chanel, but right now I'm craving for spring shades. Today i'm wearing Avon nail polish, nude colour. Though I might change nail colour during the day :-)

Ouuu gorgeous color! I wish I could wear polish more often (but I work with solvents too much at work so it always comes off). Happy St. Patrick's Day!
