A bright cobalt blue, Butler Please is a bold and vibrant shade that is particularly pleasing to look at on these grey January mornings. The formula, like every Essie polish I've tried so far, is great - it goes on smoothly, is opaque in two coats and lasts a respectable amount of time on the nails. I try to always use a base coat, but it's especially important with a shade like this - stained nails are really not a good look, and blue is just the worst. And yes, I'm speaking from experience - which is why I always try to use a base coat!

I should have known what it was yesterday... I got this colour the last manicure I had and loved it. It is SO BRIGHT isn't it? Like even brighter than in the bottle in real life, it stuck out in photos... in a good way I mean. Love it.
