Voya Therapy: Ocean Facial Experience at Therese R, Rochestown Lodge & Spa

Voya display at reception
I’ve talked about Voya on several occasions on the blog before – this lovely organic beauty brand have revived the indigenous Irish tradition of seaweed bath houses and beauty products. Check out this post for more on the brand’s back story.
I’ve used and loved their at-home range and recently, got a chance to experience some VOYA Therapy at the Therese R Spa in the Rochestown Lodge Hotel. The quality of spas can vary widely but this one was a gem – calm, candlelit and relaxing, with a lovely large relaxation area.

Treatment room
In a treatment which lasted just over an hour, I was treated to the Voya Ocean Facial Experience, which could have been tailor-made for my dehydrated skin. Using seaweed infused products – which are rich in powerful antioxidants - this treatment works to detoxify, brighten and hydrate the skin, leaving it plumped up, radiant and refreshed.

The treatment kicks off with double cleansing and gentle exfoliation, using Voya’s Cleanse & Mend, Cast Away and Love A Scrub products. These combine to remove dead skin cells and stimulate blood flow to the skin.
Selection of Voya products
The icing on the cake? A truly blissful face massage with Voya’s anti-ageing facial serum, My Little Hero. Then, while the brand’s detoxifying and balancing mask, Maskerade, got to work, so did my therapist – on the most relaxing and satisfying head and scalp massage I’ve had in ages.
We finished up with eye-cream and moisturiser and I left with a noticeable glow, feeling like I’d just enjoyed a great night’s sleep. The Voya Ocean Fresh Facial Experience at Therese R is priced at €65; find out more on their website here.
Are you a facial fan?

I'm such a fan of these products. The fact that they are Irish is just a bonus!

I had the best facial I ever had in the Doonbeg spa it was their
Voya Deluxe Facial Experience.
It starts with a back body brushing and back massage, followed
by a relaxing light neck and shoulder massage.
They then use seaweed to gently exfoliate your face.
Then they place seaweed leaves on your face, to create a mask
and while that is working they give a head massage.
It was expensive more than I had ever spent on a facial but it was
one of the only facials that I actually saw a difference in my skin, for days after.
Absolutely love Voya products since.
