Autumn/Winter Dresses From Debenhams!

Details of our office Christmas party have just been sent round, so this featured guest post from Debenhams seems entirely fitting. Hope you enjoy!

The advent calendars are already in the shops so that must mean Christmas is getting close, and that of course must mean that Christmas parties are getting even closer. It might be too early to put up the mistletoe but it's never too early to take a look at some of the best dresses for this autumn/winter season.

ONE This year there are some fantastic dresses in the Star range by Julien MacDonald, who designs clothes exclusively for Debenhams, such as the brown animal printed jersey dress which drops just below the knee and perfectly achieves a comfortably glamorous look. However, there's no doubt that some women this winter will be exchanging the included skinny black belt for something a little thicker to make a bolder statement.

TWO Meanwhile MacDonald's purple lace panelled jersey dress is another triumph. While the dress's form fitting shape is simple enough, the intricate detail of the lace, which stops just at the knee, makes this a dress to impress.

THREE The butterfly oriental split shift from Oasis may not be appropriate for every occasion, as it stops a good few inches above the thigh, but at a less formal party this is bound to get plenty of compliments. This is in part due to the print - the combination of colourful butterflies with deep crimson, black and white tones is certainly eye-catching.

FOUR If you're after a gown that speaks for itself the strapless michegan maxi from Coast can talk all night. From the classy sweetheart neckline to the elegant waterfall drape detail around the legs, this winter dress could be a fantastic addition to any women's wardrobe.

All of your picks are so lovely. I really like very feminine glamorous dresses. And I won't lie it does make my heart skip a beat if there are sequins involved.

I love that you're already thinking about holiday dresses--I better add a few to my wardrobe now before they roll around and I'm stuck with nothing to wear, haha.

Two is my favourite, love the colour! I always look for something I feel comfortable in because if you're not comfortable you won't be confident in what you're wearing. There's nothing worse than having to fix your dress all night!

Well, it must be low-profile, but with a touch of character, elegant but comfortable, not too sexy nor too castigated. I'd choose no 2!

I'm a bit lover of 50's style dresses in particular Vivian of Holloway one's with a big netted skirt underneath, I love them, I think they do wonders if you have big boobs and curvy.
