If I was only allowed to wear one eyeshadow for the
rest of my life, this would be it. That sentence alone should tell you
everything you need to know about Giorgio Armani's Eyes To Kill silk eyeshadow
in number 24. But I'm in the first flush
of love and there's plenty more I want to rave on about, including the perfect nude lippie for autumn,
so read on!
This is my first Eyes To Kill shadow and if you
haven't tried them, then boy are you in for a treat. Billed as a hybrid
cream/powder formulation, inside the little glass pot is a tightly packed loose
powder that feels a little bit creamy and moist. A black plastic inner cap
(that I live in fear of losing) keeps everything packed together nicely and
stops the pot getting too messy.
Number 24 is a stunning looking mixture of black and
gold with copper flecks. The colours swirl together for a beautiful result that
looks different in different lights, and depending on how much product you
apply. It can look bronze, blackened gold or, in some lights, a little bit
olive. The texture is divine: soft, creamy and easy to blend. But here's the
thing: it stays put ALL DAY LONG, no creasing, no
fallout, nothing. It's superb, and signals the start of a serious addiction!
As for the lipstick, Beige 111 is the ideal partner
for my Eyes To Kill. This sheer nude is the perfect new season shade and looks
amazing with neutrals, a slick of black liner or a smokey eye.
Part of the Easy Chic Autumn Collection, I've been
really impressed by the formula, too. It looks almost matte in the bullet but
it's glossy on the lips, and feels really soft and hydrating, thanks to
lightweight oils that lock in moisture without fading or feathering.
And the packaging? Seriously chic. The black
lacquered case is elegance itself, but add in the magnetic closure and I'm
swooning.
I was sent these by the brand but both the lipstick
and eyeshadow come in at €26, and I will most definitely be investing in more. These are Special with a capital S.
Have you tried anything from Giorgio Armani Beauty? Was
your mind blown, too?
