July Favourites from NUXE, MAC, Creme De La Mer, L'Occitane and Chanel

I was a bit worried when I started these monthly favourites posts (check out the others here  and here). What if nothing stood out or impressed me in any given month? What if I didn’t try anything new, or rediscover any old favourites? Well, all I can say to that is, HA! With the amount of love in my heart for toiletries, make up, hair care and all things beauty, I can’t see that happening anytime soon. So without further ado, let me introduce the five stand-out products of July…

ONE: First up, I was sent this limited edition bottle of NUXE Huile Prodigieuse to commemorate its 20th anniversary. I love a good dry oil and this is one of the best - I wrote about its multi-purpose ways and divine scent here.

TWO: I was given this pot of Creme De La Mer moisturising gel cream when I met with the brand a few months back - read how I got on here. I squirrelled it away for the summer as I like to switch from creams to lighter gel formulas in the heat. At €125 for 30 mls this is easily the most expensive skincare I have used and I have really enjoyed the experience. It's lovely and light but still provides enough moisture for my combo to oily skin. I may cry when I reach the end of the tub.

THREE: Ah, L’Occitane Verbena Sorbet, you are my scent of the summer. Sparkling, refreshing and delicious, with notes of lemon, lime, grapefruit and mint… if you like citrus, you’re gonna love this. No, you can’t have a wee spritz of mine. Back off, pal. I said BACK OFF!
FOUR: Chanel Le Vernis in Frenzy, you are so beautiful to me. You are delicate and feminine yet mysterious, with your grayed out lavender ways. And you lasted FOREVER on my nails – a whole week, without any tipwear. (Check it out here and here.)  I have had to force myself to wear my other new summery nail colours and to hide you away until autumn is nigh. But I’ll visit you, kitten. I may even bring you flowers.
FIVE: My first MAC Mineralize blush, this was part of the recent Heavenly Creature collection and trust me, the name don't lie. Solar Ray is heavenly indeed, with its pretty peach and gold swirls that blend beautifully on the skin for the prettiest, most luminous flush.

What’s been rocking your socks this past month?
