Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait, Lollipop, Candy Apple: Review, Photos, Swatches and FOTD

Revlon Lip Butters Peach Parfait, Lollipop, Candy Apple

Ok, it's taken me a while, but I'm finally ready to row in with my thoughts on Revlon's Lip Butters. These hybrid lip balm/stick products contain mango butter, shea butter and coconut butter to pamper your pout and are one of the most popular lipstick launches of the year.

Sadly we only get 7 of the 20-strong range here in Ireland. I'm not sure why - we love our lipstick on the emerald isle and I suspect they'd sell bucketloads of them if they gave us the full range - or even the 14 available to our UK neighbours. They're €11.25.

Of the available shades, I've been sent three - Peach Parfait, Candy Apple and Lollipop. We can also get Cupcake, Cotton Candy, Strawberry Shortcake and Tutti Frutti on these shores. (The latter is so popular it's apparently flying off the shelves so if you spot it, pick one up for me would ya?)

Formula wise, these are fab. They feel a bit thicker than I was expecting, but they're hydrating, comfortable and the three colours I have are all really pretty and wearable. No, the colour doesn't stick around forever but it's a doddle to reapply and you don't need a mirror. And they're very soft, so be careful about twisting them up too far in the bullet - I'd be scared that they'd break on you.

Shade wise, Lollipop is right up my street. It's a blue toned fuchsia with a little bit of shimmer (but no grittiness) that has been welcomed into my collection of pinks (see some of it here!) with open arms. Peach Parfait is the colour Emma Stone wears in the campaign shots - a warm peach with gold shimmer, it's quite sheer and natural looking.

My favourite though is Candy Apple, a gorgeous coral red that gives a really vivid burst of colour that's not too in your face for everyday, thanks to the medium finish. It's really pretty and I can see this having a permanent place in my makeup bag.  I'm wearing it in the photo above.

Have you given any of the Revlon Lip Butters a home? Are you tempted?

If you're thinking these sound similar to the L'Oreal Rouge Caresse lipsticks I showed you last week, then you're right. Check out this post I wrote over on beaut.ie for a comparison of the two brands.
