OH AND PSSSST!!! You might wanna check back later - I have a lovely wee Friday treat in store for you this afternoon. It's a good 'un!
Lana Del Rey for H&M - do we like?
So this week Lana Del Rey was confirmed as the new face of H&M. It’s a clever move by the brand, and comes hot on the heels of their recent Anna Dello Russo announcement.
But what do we think of this image for the autumn/winter campaign? Me, I like the nails, I like the clothes, especially that fuzzy angora jumper, and I like those ear-rings…but I kinda hate that sulky expression on Lana’s face. Like, a lot. Does anyone else think she looks like a huffy platypus? No? Just me? What do you make of it? Are you a fan of Ms Del Rey in general?

Lana Del Rey is a stunning woman. She will be amazing for H&M because Lana is more in the haute couture world, and less in the high street. This will probably do wonders for H&M and bring them a little further towards catwalk fashions. Maybe not literally but definitely in the eyes of the buyer.
Top Shop does this but with the models and less with social figures.
Its a good move, not only for Lana :)
Love the clothes, but agree with you - she could try look a bit happier :)
Have a great weekend xo
Hhaha awesome blog dear, love the header and title :D Thank you for the sweet comment, following you too :)
This made me sad as I don't see the appeal at all (plus it looks like she's not wearing any pants). She had one popular song and she has a pout. There are far more interesting women in music they could've used but they have to appeal to the masses I suppose. It's a shame...but no doubt she will sell lots of clothes for them.
By the way, your wonderful post didn't make me sad!! The fact they're using Lana Del Ray made me sad! I'm glad you did a post on it as I needed a good rant ;)
Heheh don't worry about it hon! xo
She does look very huffy! But I love her music, and I LOVE that pink sweater!
I am so excited for this! Even her little sullen face...the camera loves her!
That's not the best photo I've seen of her and I think it has alot to do with her "huffy platypus" look. I tend to think she's built more on image than actual talent and I'm not a fan but I do think it's a smart move by H&M considering her popularity.

The jumper looks lovely and technically this should be a great shot but it ages her a lot and I can't help thinking she looks like she's walked off the set of Dynasty, and not in a good way.
Love it! I think it's a great match! Have a great weekend darling! xoxo
Can't wait for this collection, I love Lana!

Lana working with H&M is going to do wonders for their line. I do wish she were smiling but I guess it is to be expected for us to see the sulking expression. Hope you try out the lush cosmetics because I'd be interested in hearing your reviews.
I am almost to embarrassed to admit this, but I don't get the Lana del Ray phenomenon. She is a pretty girl, but the popularity of her music is confusing to me.

She kind of bores me to be honest but I see why she'd be a good choice for the brand.
