Forget the clothes, the shoes, the bags (as stunnng as they were) - when I saw pictures of Chanel's Haute Couture show this week, I was all about the make up and the nails.
The New Vintage collection was a symphony of pinks, greys, purples and whites, shot through with silver - you can check out the looks on the Chanel site, here. To offset the clothes, Peter Phillips created a gorgeous silvery-grey smoked out eye, with rosy cheeks, nude lips, and a modern take on the French manicure, in silver and pink.
Apparently, the eye look was created using the Ombre Essentielle shadows from the upcoming Autumn Collection, launching on 27th August. I'm guessing Infini, the silver shade, and Furtif, that silver grey, were both called into play.
Back row, L-R: Ombre Essentielle in Infini (silver), Eclairé (gold), Complice (peach). Front row Furtif (silver grey); Noir (black)
And the nails? Sadly, we can't get our hands on that silver - though here are two that would work nicely - but the pink is Le Vernis in May, from this year's spring collection.
What do you think, is this a look you'll be trying at home?
