Fragrances For Men: Mr Fluff Advises on Summer Scents from Armani, Chanel, Guess

OK so it’s not quite on a par with ‘The Return of the Mac’ (younger readers ask your parents) but yes, Mr Fluff is ‘back once again like the renegade master’ (whatever that may mean).

But enough of me showing off my extensive knowledge of 90’s hits because this blog is fresher than the Prince of Bel Air, the reason being, today I’m reviewing man smells for the summer!

First up is the brand new Armani Acqua di Gio Essenza, a ‘reinterpretation’ of the fragrance originally released in 1996 however as I haven’t owned the first version I approach this with an unprejudiced nose.  This for me is very much a light summery scent, great perhaps for work or daytime wear at the weekends which is peculiar as a quick google reveals that this is apparently a more intense version of the original.  Regardless, it’s fresh and modern and I’d recommend.

In contrast is Seductive by Guess which if you wear to the office is most likely to give the impression that you haven’t actually made it home from the night before, which of course could be either a good or bad thing depending on your point of view.  This, as the slightly embarrassing name suggests, is a very intense eau de toilette that I would suggest spraying on only for a proper evening on tiles.  For this purpose it does the job perfectly, and the bottle also has a magnetic top which is obviously cool.

Last up is Bleu by Chanel which I was delighted to be asked to review as not only is it one of my favourite fragrances but the last bottle I owned I accidentally smashed all over the floor of an Italian hotel room.  This is a great all rounder, distinctive enough for evening wear but not so overbearing that your lunch companions will assume you’re still bathed in pub toilet rent-a-scent from the night before.

So there you go ladies, should you wish a gentleman in your life to stop smelling like I did when the above mentioned songs were released (Obsession since you asked) get them one of these.  Would I lie to you baby, would I lie to you…

See more Mr Fluff here! What scents do you like for the man in your life?

Hahaha, LOVING this post Em!

& Oh Hai, Mr Fluff, I admire a man that can enjoy a fruity drink LoL.

As for scents... The original Acqua di Gio is one of my all time favourite male smellies so I'm all over this one -

Problem being I'm a single Cherry so it had to be gifted to my youngest. He has been walking around the house for the past fortnight wafting air at himself and asking if it's an aphrodisiac... He's 15!!

My guy got the Aqua di Giorgio for xmas from his mom. I hate it. Don´t like anything lemongrassy :/

But I love when he wears his mixture of Jo Malone scents: Nutmeg Ginger and Sweet Lime and Cedar.
