Everyday Make Up Products and Routine with Chanel, Daniel Sandler, Lancome, Rimmel, Louise Young, Collection and ELF Cosmetics!

All those 'What’s In My Bag' posts and videos floating round the web made me realise two things. One, I’m incredibly nosy, and two, I carry around way too much junk with me on a daily basis.

My handbag is so humungous and heavy that my four year old niece could climb in and I wouldn’t notice the difference. For reasons which are hidden to me right now, I felt I needed three make up bags of varying sizes plus a little pouch of brushes on my person at all times.

So to ward off permanent back damage and reduce time and money spent on massage (I’m just chucking that last bit in for Mr Fluff’s benefit. In the unlikely event that you are Mr Fluff, just kidding, darling!), I’ve streamlined. Here are the products that make up my current daily routine, and, crucially, that fit into one small and not-very-heavy Fossil make up pouch.

I've linked to my reviews of most of these products below!

Face

Chanel Perfection Lumiere is my current favourite foundation: it’s longlasting, comfortable to wear, great coverage and it sets, so I don’t need powder with it. It goes on like a dream with my €4 brush of wonder, which I wrote gushingly about over on Beaut.ie.

I’m also using Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer under my eyes and Collection (the 2000 bit is no more) Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer on blemishes and to cover any redness around my nose.

And I discovered that my Daniel Sandler watercolour in Spicey goes on really well with my Japonesque angled foundation brush. I love this blusher and I’m excited to see the brand now being carried by Irish online beauty retailers Beauty Emporium.

Eyes

Louise Young Essential Eye Palette
and use the lightest two shades daily with the darkest brown shade for my brows. I’ve been applying them with these cheap and cheerful ELF brushes. I finish off with Lancome’s Hypnose mascara, one of my favourites, because it delivers everything I want for my lashes in one quick coat.

Lips

I am currently loving this Studio Matte Lip Colour in Natural, also from ELF, which is a gorgeous pinkish nude, tastes delicious and is incredibly easy on the pocket, too. I think they just introduced a red to this range so I’ll be checking that out soon.

And there we have it, a very quick, pared down (for me, at any rate!) every day make up routine! What products are you using everyday and do you cart them all around with you like I do? Tell me in the comments!

I was about to get the Chanel foundation but I was told that it has oil. Since I have an oily skin I desisted (although I resist to think that anything Chanel could actually hurt me) ;) Do you have any opinion about it? xoxo

@ElsaD, I have an oily tzone and because this is a matte foundation it works really well for me in controlling oil and shine. Although I am not sure how it would work on very oily skin - could you ask for a sample? xo

I love the E.L.F Studio Matte Lip Colours! Natural gives a gorgeous nude/soft pink lip without been too washed out looking,I usually use it to line my lips or either as a full on lip colour :)

I love looking in people's make up bags too!! was considering doing a similar post myself but the thoughts of photographing the stupid amount of make up in my bag is putting me off!! Am considering adding to it by getting a Daniel Sandler blush actually, and perfection lumiere has also been calling to me for a while! :-)
P.s, love the Fossil pouch.x

Ha, I love those kinds of posts, too! I'm going to have to try that Elf lip color. I left my expensive lip gloss that I love at my mom's a few weeks ago and my lips have been bare ever since!

I carry my entire life in my handbag, so it is HUGE. I think I could fit inside of it.

I think I am going to have to check out the foundation because you don't need powder! It'd save me a lot of money as I use foundation from Smashbox and Powder from Lancome! Once these 2 items run out I am going to try out this Chanel foundation!
