Fluffy little pick of the week: Daniel Sandler Watercolour Fluid Blusher
If you saw my post on blusher over at beaut.ie, you’ll know I’m on a slippery slope to fully-fledged addiction! (And if you didn’t, why not check it out here?) Since then, I’ve added another beauty to my collection: Daniel Sandler’s Watercolour Fluid Blusher.
I’ve read a lot about these award-winning blushers in various magazines and I follow the makeup maestro himself on Twitter, but they’re tricky enough to come by on these shores. If you’re in Kerry you’re in luck, as makeup artist Kathryn O’Neill stocks the products, but as far as I’m aware there’s nowhere else in Ireland you can get your hands on them.
So when the lovely Denise tweeted me about the Look Fantastic site stocking them and providing free shipping, I was all over it. There are 10 shades available including the limited edition Pop, but I went for Spicey, which is recommended for medium skintones and is a pretty rosy terracotta colour. I’ve been wearing it non-stop since I got it: the silicone-based, oil–free liquid gives the prettiest, most natural looking glow, and it’s incredibly long-lasting.
These blushers are incredibly pigmented so you really do only need the tiniest amount. I apply a drop to the back of my hand and use my fingers to blend upwards and outwards from the apples of my cheeks. I use it on top of foundation and just powder my t-zone afterwards - the product doesn’t require any powder to set. If you’d like a deeper colour, you can layer it using another drop. You can also apply the product using Daniel’s waterbrush, and there’s a great video on his site that walks you through it.
I paid £14.50 from Look Fantastic and I'll definitely be ordering from them again. They have a great selection of brands and products available, my order arrived within the estimated 5-7 days delivery time, and the free shipping is a welcome added bonus.

@Izzy, don't be scared! It's so easy to just dispense one drop on the back of your hand, thanks to the little nozzle on the bottle. xo
The colour looks gorgeous :)

The color is really pretty and the packaging totally reminds me of an art supply lol.
I've been wanting to try this blusher for ages, but I've just been too scared!
I'm so used to my powder, and I'm worried it will look streaky.
The colours are so pretty though.
Perhaps I'll bite the bullet and give it a shot!
Thanks for another great post!

@Ali it doesn't look in the slightest bit streaky, it glides on and smooths out really well because of the silicone base!
These look to be amazing but can I really justify another blush??!
Cute color and I love how it looks like something you'd use on a canvas. Thanks for sharing x

Ooh, that looks really pretty. I've never tried a blusher with that consistency.
I always stick to my cream one but it looks like that liquid consistency would blend really nicely! Must give it a try

That product sounds amazing. For blushes, I really love MAC and Body Shop powders.

I like it!
I'm a blush addict, showing me this is just feeding my addiction! (Not that that's a bad thing.) I've been dying to try the MUFE HD cream blushes, they just look so beautiful, but paying that much for a blush without being able to see the colour in person has so far put me off...how long that will last I'll have to see!
It looks beautiful! I need to try out these liquid blushes!

You're such a bad influence on me! I have to try some Daniel Sandler products, I really like the look of the ones I've seen used in tutorials and the prices aren't too bad either. I love a good creamy blush!
