Christmas gift ideas and offers, from Boots

It might not even be Halloween yet but, thanks to the Boots press day last week, it’s already beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! The Piano Bar at Residence was turned into a festive feast for the day, with carols, mulled wine and of course, lots and lots of lovely Christmas gift ideas.

There were manicures and makeovers aplenty, with beauticians showcasing the best of what Boots No 7 and 17 Cosmetics have to offer. The magnetic nail polishes from Boots 17 went down a treat, but I was sad not to get a peek at the brand’s exciting new blemish balm, set to be introduced next month. No matter, I was soon distracted by the chance to try out the gorgeous new eyelash range from No 7 – in a word, fabulous!

As we’ve come to expect from Boots, there were oodles and oodles of fabulous gift sets on display with great value to be had. It’s hard to pick out my favourites from the many great gift ideas on offer but if last year is anything to go by, the Soap and Glory sets in particular are sure to go down well. I’ve counted at least 9 offerings from the brand at a range of different prices, from a handwash and moisturiser duo at €13.50, a lip set at €20 and The Bright Stuff skincare set at €47.

That whopper pictured above is Big Splendour, which costs €81 and includes favourites like Sexy Mother Pucker, The Righteous Butter, Clean on Me shower gel, Hand Food handcream and lots, lots more. Also on display were some well-priced toiletry sets for men, many of which included a really attractive wash bag, and of course there were heaps of fabulous offerings to suit all budgets from the various Boots ranges.

I always plan to shop smart for Christmas and to pick up little things in advance, to save myself ‘the fear’ at the end of December. Boots make that easy - the special offers are a real lifesaver, and as well as the much-loved 3 for 2 offers, this year they have introduced a weekly ‘Star Gift’ at less than half price so I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for those. (Psst! The latest offer launches today and you can snap up the No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Collection for €60 – a massive reduction from €123! The set includes NÂș7 Protect & Perfect Intense Day Cream, Beauty Serum, Night Cream and Body Serum.)

Will you be shopping smart for Christmas this year?

Ah, I smiled when I seen this post- there is nothing more christmassy for me than leafing through the Boots Christmas magazine for the first time. I have to make myself a big cup of tea first and be in my pajamas!
