Fluffy little pick of the week: Dove Go Fresh Grapefruit and Lemongrass Deodorant

We don't talk much about deodorant, do we? We natter on about almost every other type of toiletry or cosmetic under the sun, but the most complimentary thing I've ever had to say about a roll-on has been: it does the job. (And a very important job it is, too.)

But this week's pick has changed all that. I'm telling everyone who'll listen just how much I love this grapefruit and lemongrass scented deodorant from Dove. Part of the Go Fresh range, which also includes bodywash, bars and haircare, this also comes as an aerosol spray and in a cucumber and green tea variety too.

It does everything you'd expect from a good deodorant: 24 hour dryness and anti-odour protection, alcohol-free and with no stickiness or white marks,  but it also delivers a lovely fresh sensation and, best of all, a zesty, fruity scent that puts a big ol' smile on my face.

A little something like this...

Finally, a deodorant worth talking about!

Have you tried any of the Go Fresh products and what did you make of them?

The add is funny, so cheesey! But this sounds great a cut above the usual same old same old deodorants

Too right Ms. Fluff a deodorant is such a crucial part of our every day beauty regime and no one utters a word about it! I'm a funny one for scents, I can't jump between perfumes and I've stuck with the same (sure-cool cotton) deodorant for about five years now cause it's alright and I don't notice any smell after the initial scoosh. when I've ran low and borrowed the small ones stash I spend the whole day picking up the scent and thinking someone is too close behind me. same when I change my shampoo. even my hair gunk. it's too disconcerting - so I stick to what I know and my nose ignores :)

that said, I don't seem to mind fruity scents (especially zesty ones) so Im going to give this a shot. I've never been over impressed by Sure, so why not? this amazing heat will show me quickly enough if it's a goer! :) I shall let you know!

one more thing to add- whilst recently travel sizing all deodorants for a rushed trip to Eire, I picked up the tea tree badboy mentioned in the blurb. I did the sniff test and in the middle of boots exclaimed "bleugh" and blew a raspberry. so I vote nae to that one. not to put any one off though- as previously intimated, I'm a weirdo when it comes to matters of the nose.

I don't know what's best: the post or the comments! I'm not one for scents in deodorants, but your enthusiasm is encouraging me to give it a go!

I'm a Sure Cool Cotton girl myself, and have stuck with it for years, with only the occasional switch to Dove when it's been on offer (the silk one I liked, the original not so much). I think I'm gonna have to give this one a sniff before purchase. I prefer a milder scent so that it doesn't clash with my perfume.

Cheers guys! Julia, it's not an overpowering scent at all and after the first few minutes I don't notice it again all day.

Rosemary, for reals, it passed the hip hop test and everything!
