Penneys Limited Edition Collection launches today

Irish high street favourite Penneys are launching a Limited Edition Collection today in selected stores. The capsule collection of 5 pieces promises clean lines, more luxurious fabrics and best of all, the same affordable prices we’ve come to know, love and even rely on in these *shudder* recessionary times.  The collection of kitsch, pared back pieces is intended to act as ‘a building block of staples’ and includes cute monochrome and print dresses, a big bow detail blouse, a scalloped shell collared top and a retro playsuit. I’m on a bit of a shopping moratorium at the moment, but with pocket friendly prices ranging from €17 to €25, and those adorable collars (below), I think I might have to indulge…
The following Penneys stores will stock the collection from today, 14th April, for a limited time only: Mary St., Blanchardstown, Dundrum, O’Connell St, Swords, Galway City, Newbridge, Wilton and Cork.
Limited Edition Chiffon Dress with Scallop Collar €25

Limited Edition Playsuit €25

Lmited Edition Butterfly Dress €21

Oh I'm not a fan! I think a capsule collection should be more basic items you can mix and match - peter pan collars on everything do not a versatile capsule collection make, really!

I saw these in Penney's yesterday - they seemed fairly cleaned out of them on O'Connell St though.

While I do like peter pan collars I feel they are a bit overdone by now. I did like the quality of the two things I saw though.

I'm still lovin' the Peter Pan collars Anne-Marie, I had best hotfoot it to O'Connell St to make sure I get my hands on the first dress pictured - it's so sweet!

Rosemary, I hear you, I don't think this collection works as 'a building block of staples’ but that doesn't put me off wanting that dress...
